This lens was designed with precision machine vision applications in mind. The combination of large Telecentric area (over 68mm diameter!) and fast optics is unmatched in the industry. The 28.7mm sensor diagonal accommodates very large line-sensors as well as rectangular area sensors over 20mm x 15mm and square area sensors over 17mm square. It is ideal for cameras like:
