Computer Optics Inc. - Custom Optical Design

Within our facility we have over 200 years of combined expertise dedicated solely towards designing and building optical systems. We offer both custom optical design as well as solid modeling using the latest in mechanical computer aided design. At COI we BUILD all of our designs and have a long history of design or cost specifications. We have designed wide-angle, narrow field, Telecentric, Zoom, varifocal, fixed focal length, dual field as well as aspherical lens systems. In addition we are experts in prototyping having built several scanners, spectrophotometers, customized optical systems, FLIR systems, surgery lights, test equipment, and full imaging systems.

Our major product line remains our customized line of lenses. Our lenses today are the eyes of machine vision systems that look at pharmaceuticals, beverages, paper products, automobiles, semiconductors, agriculture, and biological experiments. They have been used on the Space Shuttle and can be found in Europe, Africa, Asia, New Zealand, Canada, Australia, Latin America and of course the United States.
