Production

COI operates a 25,000 square foot production facility that houses precision optical fabrication, thin film coating, CNC machining, assembly, and test – as well as design and prototype.

COI’s core production capabilities are centered around near-infrared and infrared optics and moderate to highly complex lens assemblies. Optical accuracies of one-ten-millionth of an inch are typical of both production and prototype fabrication.

COI's quality systems support its customers in adhering to their cGMP, MILSPEC, ISO and other quality standards from design through the product’s life cycle.

Optical testing methods include back focus measurement, magnification, MTF and wavefront – as well as comprehensive programs customized to the production lens or subassembly.

Optics
COI fabricates visible, NIR and IR optical elements from 1/4" to 32" diameter.
Optical accuracies of one-ten-millionth of an inch are typical of both production and prototype fabrication.
COI works with a wide variety of UV, visible and IR glass materials – including exotics.
